Are there any hidden booking fees?

No! There are no additional charges when booking on this website. Payments by Amex and Diners cards incur a 3% surcharge. 

Can I change my reservation?

If you need to change your reservation in any way please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help subject to availability and any policies applicable to your reservation.  

What are the car parking options?

At City Edge Albert, Gipps and Treasury, one onsite parking space per booking is provided free of charge. At City Edge Tribeca and Wellington, secure undercover parking is available for $10 per night (cheap for Melbourne!). No onsite parking is available at City Edge on Elizabeth and City Edge North Melbourne, but please contact us for options.

Does City Edge provide hairdryers?

Yes, all City Edge apartments have hairdryers.

What do I need to bring?

Just your personal items. All linen, crockery and cutlery is provided.

What time is check in?

Check in is 2pm onwards, but if your apartment is ready earlier you can check in earlier! Note the only way to guarantee check in before 2pm is to include the night before arrival in your booking.

If you arrive before 2pm and your apartment isn’t ready we can store your luggage for you. The same goes for after 10am check out, if for example you have some time before your flight home.

Note our East Melbourne accommodation locations share the same reception. On check in at 92 Albert Street please confirm your apartment location before unloading your vehicle.

What else do I need to know about checking in?

A pre-authorisation will be applied to your credit or debit card, refundable on check out.

How do I check in if I will be arriving after reception is closed?

If you anticipate this will be the case please contact us well before arrival to obtain your after hours check in instructions to our Melbourne serviced apartments.  

 

Terms and Conditions

Payments

All reservations require a deposit of one night's tariff per apartment. The deposit will be charged to your credit or debit card at the time the reservation is made. Reservations must be paid in full on or prior to check in.

You will be required to present a credit or debit card for pre-authorisation on check in. This validates the presented card, acts as a bond to cover (but not limited to) lost key/s, breakages, damages or excess cleaning and helps protect both the cardholder and City Edge from possible fraud. The pre-authorised amount of $150 is set aside on behalf of City Edge by the card issuer. This can extend for a period of up to several days after release depending on the issuer. Once a pre-authorisation has been made, City Edge will not release, remove or lower the authorised amount until check out. The pre-authorisation will affect your available funds balance or spending limit.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of expected check in, or fail to check in, your deposit will not be refunded. Deposits for minimum stay periods and major events are not refundable at any time. If after checkin guests are dissatisfied with any aspect of their accommodation and decide to not commence their stay, the amount to be refunded, if any, will be at the discretion of City Edge. 

General

Guest/s shall be charged the replacement cost of any loss, theft or damage to keys, furniture, fixtures and all fittings in the apartment/s and associated common areas. Fair wear and tear excluded.

City Edge shall not be responsible for, or liable to compensate for, the loss, theft or damage to any property whatsoever brought onto the premises.

City Edge staff reserve the right to warn, eject or call police to, as appropriate, unruly, vexatious or non/short paying guest/s and or visitor/s, and to take all reasonable actions at all times to ensure the security of the premises.

Apartments are for accommodation use only. City Edge enforces a zero tolerance attitude to parties or gatherings. Failure to comply may result in eviction by police, with no refund.

Guest/s shall comply with all reasonable requests, instructions or demands made by management. City Edge reserves the right to charge the guest/s for excess cleaning if deemed justified by management.

Internet access at City Edge properties is provided by a third party. If connection difficulties are experienced by guests the third party can offer technical advice. City Edge assumes no responsibility for such difficulties.

City Edge tariffs do not include payment of transport costs incurred by guests to or from its properties. 

Descriptions of City Edge by its employees or agents during the booking process are made as accurately as possible and in good faith but no responsibility or warranty for misdescription, fitness or suitability can be accepted. Individual apartments may differ slightly from those depicted on this website.

The number of guests in the apartment/s at any one time shall not exceed the number of guests declared when booking or upon check-in. Should at any time the number of guests in the room/s exceed the number declared, City Edge reserves the right to (a) charge extra according to the additional number of guests or (b) terminate the reservation immediately, without a refund.

In the unlikely event City Edge cannot provide booked accommodation, City Edge will undertake to relocate guests to alternative accommodation of equal or higher standard at no expense to the guest. Should there be no such available accommodation in the vicinity of the original booking, guests may be provided with accommodation of a lesser standard. If this is the case, any reduction in costs will be refunded to the guest. The alternative accommodation offered will be at the discretion of City Edge. Should the guest wish to choose accommodation of a standard other than that offered under this condition, the guest will be required to pay any difference in tariff between the City Edge recommended accommodation and their own preference.

Guests may temporarily store luggage at reception during reception hours only at owners risk. City Edge does not offer porter services.

Should the term of the stay be reduced, the guest/s agrees to be liable for the appropriate tariff at the discretion of management. It is the guests' responsibility to obtain written confirmation from City Edge of any reduction or extension to the length of stay.

Checkout is 10am on the date of departure unless otherwise authorised by management. An additional fee may be incurred if you do not checkout by 10am.

The person/s or entities registered as or on behalf of the guest/s agree to pay in full all tariffs, surcharges and other charges incurred during the stay at City Edge.

Use

The use of our accommodation services and website are conditional on the acceptance of the above Terms and Conditions by guests. This use also applies to bookings made via 3rd party websites, resellers and travel agents. Payment and cancellation policies applicable to 3rd party bookings may differ from those described above. City Edge reserves the right to add, amend or delete Terms and Conditions without notice.

If you do not provide us with this information we may be unable to provide you with accommodation.

You may request access to personal information we hold about you. We may recover our costs of providing this access to you. Upon such a request we will make every reasonable attempt to inform you of why we collected your information, to whom we may disclose that information and the purposes for which that information may be used.

We may make this information available to third parties who assist us in providing services to you where required by law. You must advise us if any details provided are incorrect. Personal information about you will be retained for the time necessary to comply with Australian legislation. We will not knowingly permit any misuse of this information and will employ stringent safeguards to protect the security of your personal information.
